Special education administrator Nikki lives in a 43-foot tiny house on wheels with her three dogs. It features a unique layout that could easily be used as a three-bedroom home for a family. She worked with NOMAD Tiny Homes to perfect her custom design.

Nikki lives in the Austin, Texas, area. She loves it here and working as an educator. But unfortunately, those in the education system just don’t make much. Living in a tiny home has allowed Nikki to pay off debt and save a significant amount of money each month. Now she’s saving to buy land to help other teachers live affordably in tiny homes.

“I’d love to buy land and put several tiny houses to be able to provide that living space for other educators, just knowing the struggles financially and with housing that we face.”

Her tiny house is 43 feet long, 8.5 feet wide, and 13 feet tall. The spacious layout splits up the sleeping areas for max privacy. Above the kitchen is a large sleeping loft, mainly used for her dogs.

On the other side of the house, Nikki has downstairs office. It has sliding doors, lounge space for her dogs, and room for a bed, if she wanted. She accesses her standing-height bedroom loft in the back of the office. This room is spacious enough to fit a queen bed, as well as a dresser & vanity.
